WELLINGTON OFFER'S $60000 INCENTIVE FOR RADIO APNA FIJI CUP
Team Wellington has put a big incentive for it’s players if they win Radio Apna Fiji Cup next weekend at Mangere Centre Park. Team Wellington President Sangesh Lallu told show host Shaiyaz Mohammed on Radio Apna this morning during Fiji Cup Countdown that if Wellington wins the five day tournament the players and official’s will get $60000 as incentive.
Lallu added that former Lautoka and Fiji National Rep Poasa Tubuna is coaching the side and is confident to win it’s matches in Pool B against Nadi, Suva, Lautoka NZ and Tavua NZ.
Lallu also told Radio Apna that the team has the services of Cambell Banks, Waisake Sabutu and Seikio Volavou. Wellington will kick off it’s campaign in the day one of the tournament next Wednesday in the feature match of the day at 9pm against and Suva commentary of this match can be heard on Radio Apna 990am in Nz and on www.apna 990.com any where around the world.
LAUTOKA WILL MISS KEY STRIKER IN RADIO APNA FIJI CUP
Lautoka will not travel to New Zealand with it’s star Nigerian striker Sanni Issa. Lautoka President Shalen Prasad told show host Shaiyaz Mohammed during Radio Apna Fiji Cup countdown that Issa has visa problems and can not travel to New Zealand for the upcoming Radio Apna Fiji Cup.
Shalen has also ruled out services of it’s Australian based players who have joined a new club in Australia. However he said the Blues will arrive in Auckland with a strong team which will have services of Valerio Nawatu, Jono vono Jr, Kamal Hassan,Malakai Waqa and other regular reps who play for the team. Lautoka is pooled with arch rival’s Ba, NZ Champion Rewa, Nasinu and Hamilton and will play it’s opening game on day two of the tournament against Hamilton .
